Description

A foaming face cleanser with a built-in silicone brush, made for oily and blemish-prone skin. Pump the mousse straight onto the brush head, massage it over damp skin in small, light circles for 30 to 60 seconds, then rinse. Morning and night.

Mild coconut-derived cleansers take off the day's oil, sunscreen and grime, and a generous amount of glycerin holds water in the skin while you wash, so your face feels clean and soft afterwards instead of tight. The soft silicone bristles lift the oil sitting in the pores around the nose and chin, so pores look clearer once they are empty. Salicylic acid, cica, witch hazel, tea tree and chamomile make up the AC Series blend.

The foam is clear and close to scentless, with no added fragrance; the red is the bottle. 8-free and dermatologically tested. Follow with the AC Pad BHA for the step that stays on the skin.

How to use

1. Wet your face with lukewarm water. Warm water loosens oil; hot water strips it and takes moisture with it.
2. Pump once or twice straight onto the brush head. The foam arrives ready, no lathering needed.
3. Massage in small circles for 30 to 60 seconds with a light hand. Give the nose, chin and hairline the extra time; that is where oil collects. Pressing harder does not clean deeper, it just leaves skin red.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water until no foam remains.
5. Rinse the brush head and stand the bottle upright to dry.
6. Use morning and night. If skin ever feels dry, keep the evening wash and drop the morning one.

Why each one belongs in a cleanser for oily skin

SALICYLIC ACID (BHA)

The oily-skin classic
The one ingredient everyone with oily skin knows by name. It is oil-soluble, which is why it turns up in products aimed at clogged pores. Here it rides along with the foam at a light level; the pore-clearing on this page is done by the cleanse and the brush.

CICA (CENTELLA ASIATICA)

K-beauty's comfort ingredient
The leaf extract Korean skincare reaches for when a formula needs to feel kind. It is in the blend for exactly that reason: a cleanser for oily skin should not feel like a punishment.

WITCH HAZEL

The old-school toner ingredient

Oily skin gets stripped more than any other type, because "clean" usually means "tight." This foam takes a different route: mild sulfate-free cleansers lift the oil and sunscreen, and 20% glycerin keeps water in the skin while they do it. Rinse, and your face is matte and fresh, not squeaky. Morning and night, without the dryness.

THE BRUSH HEAD

Thirty seconds of small circles

The silicone bristles turn a cleanse into a light exfoliation. Work the foam in small circles with a light hand, and spend the extra time on the nose, chin and hairline, where oil sits in pores. Dead surface cells and packed-in oil lift away, and pores look clearer once they are empty. Rinse the head after, stand the bottle up, and it is dry in minutes.

THE AC ROUTINE

Wash first. Then the pad.

The cleanser does the removal: oil, sunscreen, the day. The AC Pad BHA is the leave-on step that follows. Cleanse, pat dry, sweep one pad over the T-zone, then moisturize. Two steps, two jobs, no overlap.

FAQ

Does this treat acne?

No. It is a cleanser, and cleansers rinse off in under a minute. What it does is remove the oil, sunscreen and grime that sit in pores, and do it without stripping your skin. If you are dealing with active breakouts, see a dermatologist for treatment and use this as the gentle wash alongside whatever they recommend.

I see salicylic acid on the bottle. How much is in it?

A trace, alongside cica, witch hazel, tea tree and chamomile. It is the signature blend of the AC Series, not a treatment dose, and we are not going to tell you it exfoliates your pores from the inside. The cleaning comes from the foam and the brush.

Is it a gel or a foam?

Foam, straight from the pump. The bottle holds a thin, clear liquid and the pump whips it into a mousse on the way out, so it lands on the brush already lathered. One pump usually covers the whole face.

How do I keep the brush clean?

Rinse the bristles under running water after each wash and stand the bottle upright. Silicone does not hold water, so it is dry within minutes. No soaking, no special cleaner.

I have oily skin. Will it actually get the shine off?

Yes. About 10% of the formula is cleansing agents, a proper dose for a face wash, and the brush lifts what is sitting in the pores. Your face will feel clean and matte after rinsing. What it will not do is stop your skin producing oil; nothing in a rinse-off can.

My skin is combination. Will it dry out my cheeks?

Unlikely, because a fifth of the formula is glycerin, which holds water in the skin while you wash. If your cheeks ever do feel tight, keep the brush on the T-zone and just let the foam run over the cheeks.

Is it OK for sensitive skin?

It has been dermatologically tested and it leaves out the usual suspects: sulfates, alcohol, artificial fragrance, parabens. That said, every skin is different. Try it along the jawline for a couple of days before going full-face, and if you have a diagnosed skin condition, check with your doctor first.

Can men use it?

Of course. Oil, sunscreen and sweat do not check gender. The brush is especially useful along the beard line and around the nose, where oil builds up fastest.

Morning and night, or just once?

Twice a day is the default for oily skin: morning for overnight oil, night for sunscreen and the day. If your skin ever starts to feel tight, keep the evening wash and skip the morning one. A splash of water in the morning is enough.

Do I still need a makeup remover?

For light makeup and sunscreen, no, the foam handles it. For long-wear foundation or waterproof mascara, take that off first with a balm or oil cleanser, then follow with this. Remover first, foam second.

Will my pores get smaller?

Pore size is set by genetics and age, and no cleanser changes it. What changes is how they look: a pore packed with oil and dead skin looks bigger and darker than an empty one. Keep them clean and they look smaller. That is the honest version.
